I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to acquaint you for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies that with the consent of the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury arrangements have been made between the Admiralty and this department by which all the business connected with the measures for prevention of Contagious diseases at Hong Kong will be conducted on behalf of both the Army and Navy by the former, and at Jamaica by the latter, and I am therefore to request the Secretary of State Colonial Office
